Legal Notices

The JET Policy PAC is a non-sponsored Ohio state and local political action committee (PAC).  JET Policy PAC receives contributions from qualified donors and makes expenditures to influence state or local elections in Ohio. Its focus is on supporting candidate committees that recognize the importance of job creation, effective and efficient education, and quality tax policy.  Contributions made to the JET Policy PAC are entirely voluntary.

The JET Policy PAC is registered with the Ohio Secretary of State.  The PAC is not registered with the Federal Election Commission and must comply with Ohio laws and rules regulating PACs.  The PAC does not make contributions to candidates for federal office.

Under the oversight of the Ohio Secretary of State, JET Policy PAC files regular reports detailing the financial activities of the PAC. JET Policy PAC complies with all laws and regulations governing its operations.  Contributors to the PAC may not remain anonymous by request. If a donor does not want to be identified, then the contribution should not be made.

Contribution Limits:  The amounts that the PAC may contribute or accept is shown on the contribution limit chart contained on the Ohio Secretary of State website and the PAC shall not exceed these limits.  A contributor may not give more than $100 per election in cash to the PAC. “Cash” includes only currency or coin.  A contribution by check or credit card is not subject to this limitation.

  • Contributions from Minor Children:  The PAC is prohibited from knowingly accepting contributions from any individual under the age of seven.

  • Partnerships/Unincorporated Associations:  Contributions received from partnerships or unincorporated associations must reflect both the name of the entity and the individual making the contribution. Incorporated professional associations and limited liability companies are considered unincorporated associations or, if applicable, partnerships. Contributions may be transmitted by these entities but must include, at the time of the distribution, detailed information on the allocation of the contribution amount among the owners or partners of the unincorporated association or partnership. No contribution from a partnership or other unincorporated business to the PAC may be accepted, deposited or used unless the PAC has the allocation information necessary to itemize the contribution by the partner(s), owner(s) or member(s).

Solicitation of Public Employees Prohibited:  Public employees may not be solicited for contributions to the PAC while performing their official duties or while they are in those areas of a public building where official business is transacted or conducted. The term “public employee” does not include any person holding an elective office.  Public employees also may not solicit contributions to the PAC.

Use of Contributions:  The PAC may use its contributions only in ways that match the definition of expenditure, as defined in R.C. 3517.01(B)(6), or to refund excess or illegal contributions.
